Tek targets scope ‘sweet spot’
Tektronix has expanded its oscilloscope portfolio with the MSO/DPO5000 Series.
The series includes eight models, with analogue bandwidth ranging from 350MHz to 2GHz and sample rates from 5 to 10Gsample/s. Each model has four analogue channels and record lengths range from 12.5M to 250Mpoints. MSO models also offer 16 digital channels and built in parallel bus trigger and decode functionality.
According to the company, the sector from 350MHz to 2GHz is the most popular segment for oscilloscopes. Roy Siegel, Tektronix' general manager for mid range oscilloscopes, said: "We are giving engineers the analysis functionality and performance they need for many applications in one instrument. Our goal is to help our customers save time by simplifying test."
