Tesco launches £119 Hudl tablet
Supermarket giant Tesco is to enter the elusive tablet market later this month with a 7in Android slab called Hudl.
The device will be priced at £119, considerably less than rival products such as Apple's iPad, and will pack a 1.5GHz quad core processor, 16GB of memory and a 1,440 x 900 display.
Tesco says Hudl is capable of nine hours of video playback on a single charge. The plan is to sell the device through its 1,000 UK stores.
In a further bid to boost revenue, Tesco will also install its own film and tv streaming service, Blinkbox, on the device's home screen.
Hudl will be available from 30 September in black, red, blue or purple.
Tesco is confident that its shoppers will see the attractions of purchasing from a well known brand, but what do you think?
