Thales appoints new UK ceo
Thales has announced the appointment of Victor Chavez, pictured, to the position of UK ceo, with effect 1st January 2011. Chavez has been deputy ceo of Thales UK since October 2008.
Alex Dorrian, currently ceo of the electronic systems company, said: "I am confident that Victor will build on our already strong relationships with our key customers and will continue to drive the innovation and excellence that underpins Thales' success and will shape our future strategy and growth."
Dorrian is set to become chairman of the company as part of his role as evp of Thales SA. Lord Freeman, who is currently chairman, will remain a director of the SA board and the chairman of the advisory board.
