Three axis sensor for consumer products
Bosch Sensortec has launched the SMB380 acceleration sensor, a three axis device aimed specifically at consumer electronics applications. The part, which measures 3 x 3 x 0.9mm, is suitable for use in human machine interfaces and free fall detection where ultra low power consumption is important.
By introducing the SMB380, Bosch Sensortec is consistently expanding its product range towards miniaturized sensors. Half the size of previous products, the SMB380 draws less than 200µA and offers a range of features, including a programmable interrupt pin.
