TÜV launches CE Marking Centre of Excellence

To mark 21 years in the business, TÜV Product Service has announced a CE Marking Centre of Excellence. As an accredited CE marking Notified Body, the dedicated TÜV team will test a range of industrial and consumer goods from its Warwickshire laboratories.
The 'TÜV octagon' compliance mark was created by the German safety company TÜV SÜD in 1989, which now has an international network of more than 15,000 auditors and engineers in 600 locations worldwide. The mark can currently be found on over 29,000 products, from companies including Hewlett Packard, Tandberg and Dyson.
The mark is said to go beyond the one off type testing required by CE marking as a product must not only comply with the relevant standards, but manufacturing facilities must also pass an annual audit and specific claims about the product's performance must also be proven.
"Our success is testament to the huge amount of integrity and commitment that our staff have to get the job done right," said Jean-Louis Evans, managing director of TÜV Product Service. "We look forward to another 21 years of knowing that we do some good as we strive to make sure that what we all buy is safe and reliable."
