UK chip maker secures major deal with China
UK firm Compound Semiconductor Technologies has secured a six figure supply agreement with one of China's emerging tele and data communications developers.
The optoelectronics specialist, based in Scotland, manufactures customised laser chips for use in industrial, communications and defence applications. It is hoping the new deal will double its turnover to £5million within the next three years.
Neil Martin, company ceo, maintained that the development of the company's own modular technology platforms has allowed it to remain both competitive and agile. "We have been making considerable headway in the Chinese market for some time," he said. "This commitment now sees CST firmly at the forefront of this global market."
