UK led firm achieves 16% revenue increase
ProPhotonix, a UK designer and manufacturer of led light engines and laser diodes modules has announced its financial results for the third quarter and year to date 30 September 2011.

Q3 2011 results revealed a year on year revenue increase of 16% from $3.9million in 2010 to $4.5m. Year on year led revenue increased from $1.9m in 2010 to $2.2m, a rise of 16%, while gross profit increased 13.5% to $1.8m from $1.6m a year ago.
Year to date revenue increased 22% from $11m in 2010 to $13.5m, while LED revenue increased 41% from $4.9m in 2010 to $6.9m. The company's gross profit grew from $4.2m in 2010 to $5.2m, a rise of 24.4%.
Mark Blodgett, chairman and ceo of ProPhotonix, said: "We delivered a strong third quarter with 16% revenue growth, despite the negative impact from foreign currency exchange due to the strengthening of the dollar in September and a delay in shipments to two medical customers."
