“This acquisition is a major building block in [our] strategy to offer a comprehensive solution for the automated testing of embedded and connected systems. We already have started working to link and integrate the products of both companies,” said Thomas Riegraf, managing director of Vector Informatik.
According to Vector Informatik, its expertise in system and functional testing solutions for automotive ECUs and distributed embedded systems is broadened with the addition of Vector Software’s embedded software testing platform VectorCAST. Following the deal, Vector Informatik, expects to address embedded systems opportunities in the automotive, avionics and IoT sectors, as well as other industries with safety and validation requirements.
VectorCAST will become a business division of Vector Informatik, with sales and product development based in the US. John Paliotta, Vector Software’s cofounder, has been named managing director and CTO, with Mats Larsson as vice president of sales, marketing and operations.
“Over the last 25 years, the Vector Software team has built a great product and a great brand,” said Paliotta, pictured. “We could not be more pleased to be joining Vector Informatik, a company that has complementary products and a similar engineering-driven and customer-focused culture.”
