Waveform generators deliver 'lowest jitter in class' says Agilent

Agilent Technologies has announced 30MHz function/arbitrary waveform generators which it claims provide 'unparalleled signal accuracy' and deliver the 'lowest total harmonic distortion and jitter in their class'.
The 33521A 1-channel function/arbitrary waveform generator and the 33522A 2-channel function/arbitrary waveform generator are the latest addition to Agilent's 33500 series.
The generators' graphical display has been designed to allow for simultaneous parameter setup, signal viewing and editing, while the generator is said to offer more precise functions and true point-by-point arbitrary waveforms that are alias-protected.
Gary Whitman, vice president and general manager of Agilent's System Products Division, said: "With full bandwidth pulses and real point-by-point arbitrary waveforms, the new 33500 series generators deliver the highest fidelity in their class. R&D and manufacturing engineers will experience a new level of accuracy and flexibility, offering more precise validation of their designs and devices during test."
The waveform generators feature 30MHz sine, square and pulse waveform bandwidth and under 40ps jitter with total harmonic distortion of .04% providing greater signal fidelity. They incorporate 250MSa/s, 16bit sampling rate, true point-by-point arbitrary waveforms and USB and LAN (LXI-C) connectivity.
