Wide input converters have improved output voltages

Vicor's Brick Business unit has announced the addition of eight wide input Micro DC-DC converters to the 28VDC input family.

According to Vicor, these models have nominal output voltages ranging from 3.3 to 48VDC and a maximum power of 100W (50W at 3.3Vout and 5Vout, and 100W at 12, 15, 24, 28, 36 and 48Vout). The modules target either 12 or 24V applications, such as MIL-COTS or commercial battery systems in vehicles. They also meet the European standard for electronic equipment used in rolling stock; EN50155, and are deigned for use in a variety of vehicle or man-portable applications including lighting, communications, portable test equipment, display and control systems. The converters operate from 28V nominal input with an input range of 9 to 36V. They are available in four environmental grades with six pin options and three baseplate options.
