X-Fab, Anvo-Systems announce nvSRAM partnership
X-Fab has teamed up with Dresden based Anvo-Systems to develop high speed non volatile memory that combines sram, dram and SONOS flash.
The new nvSRAM devices are targeted at solutions requiring high reliability and security, such as medical, communication, automotive, bio-technology and industrial control and metering applications.
The nvSRAM IP blocks come with unlimited read and write operation and a standard sram interface. A full parallel data backup up to 125Mb/s is said to guarantee fast store operation.
Because the energy for storage is gathered during the normal operation cycle, X-Fab says no additional customer control circuitry is needed.
The company has installed a dedicated 0.18micrometre manufacturing process on 8in wafers for the new memory modules.
