1 bit spdt switch offers high speed performance for industrial and consumer applications

Toshiba has released the TC7SB3157CFU, a 1 bit spdt bus switch suitable for digital applications requiring a 5V interface. With low I/O terminal capacitance and ON resistance, the device is ideal for switching high speed data traffic.
While consumer products typically operate with a supply voltage of 3V or below, industrial systems are often limited to 5V. The switch operates across a wide supply voltage range, from 1.65 to 5.5V, so it is suitable for the increasing number of industrial applications that need to cope with higher data rates.
Operation of the TC7SB3157CFU is supported by a small propagation delay, which works in combination with the minimum impact on data signal rise and fall times supplied by the typical ON state terminal capacitance of 15pF and resistance of 4W. The company say that the bidirectional operation without the need for a direction control signal makes it easy to implement the switch in any design. It can also transmit full swing and analogue signals with minimum distortion due to a structure comprising of an N channel and P channel mosfet combination.
The TC7SB3157CFU is supplied in a standard SOT363 package.
