12W dc/dc converters offers 4:1 wide input range
A new series of metal cased, 12W dc/dc converters has been unveiled by Murata Power Solutions.
Accommodating a 4:1 wide input voltage range, the single and dual output isolated converters are available in 9 to 36VDC or 18 to 75VDC input voltage models.
Single output models cater for nominal output voltages from 3.3 to 15VDC. Duals are available with either +/-5, +/-12 or +/-15VDC outputs.
An under voltage lockout feature ensures that the converter only operates with a valid input voltage. Load regulation is typically within the range of 0.05 to 1% and is model dependent. Line regulation is typically 0.1% and the converter has a fast start up time of 9ms.
Other protection and safety features include current fold back in overload conditions and thermal shutdown should the case temperature exceed 120°C. The normal operating temperature range is from -40 to 85°C.
