60V synchronous buck led driver delivers over 300W of led power
Linear Technology has announced the LT3763, a synchronous buck led driver controller that is said to deliver over 300W of led power.
The company says the 6 to 60V input voltage makes the device suitable for automotive, industrial and architectural lighting applications. The output voltage can be set from 0 to 55V, enabling it to drive a range of leds in a single string.
The LT3763 uses two external switching mosfets and is designed to deliver from 5 to over 300W of continuous led power with efficiencies up to 96%. LED current accuracy of ±6% ensures constant lighting while ±1.5% output voltage accuracy offers several led protection features and also enables the converter to operate as a constant voltage/constant current source for charging applications.
The LT3763EFE is available in a 28 lead thermally enhanced TSSOP package. An extended temperature version, the LT3763IFE, is also available, as is a high temperature version, the LT3763HFE.
