60W power supply with medical and IT approvals
Emerson Network Power has introduced the NPS63-M, a rugged, small and efficient 12V standard power supply that supports up to 60W with convection cooling.
The device is 2 x 4 x 1in, has a typical full load efficiency of 87% and meets the Energy Star 2.0 Efficiency Level V standard. It meets medical and IT equipment safety approvals and is said to be ideal for use in light industrial, instrumentation and process systems, as well as in low power dental and laboratory equipment.
The 12V output capacity is adjustable by +/-20%, and the power supply accepts a universal input voltage range of 127 to 300Vdc. Under normal operating conditions, the NPS63-M requires less than 74W of input power and consumes less than 300milliwatts of power under no load conditions.
