Agilent Technologies has announced the latest release of its rfic simulation, verification and analysis software.
According to the company, the GoldenGate 2011 version offers improved performance, fast mismatch analyses for analogue/rf applications and a new easy to use graphical user interface. The release also extends the software's rfic analysis to more easily incorporate package and board effects.
Updated features include carrier analysis improvement for better scalability and performance on multicore cpus; improved performance of carrier and ssna noise analyses; enhanced fast circuit envelope analysis to accelerate rf functional path simulations; an enhanced crystal oscillator convergence option and fast yield contributor analyses for rf and analogue/mixed signal designers, including dc, ac and oscillator analysis.
Agilent claims the updated software also boasts a number of improvements for wireless design verification, including fast mismatch analysis to dramatically accelerate the block and functional path verification that rfic designers perform every day. According to the company, this can be achieved without loss of accuracy and includes new support for Cadence corners tool.
