Altera Cyclone III fpga prototyping platform

BeMicro is a small hardware platform designed for all kinds of Altera fpga design prototyping using an USB memory stick form factor.

Its main purpose is to demonstrate how easy it is to build a system on a programmable chip. The hardware plugs into the USB host connector of a pc or a USB hub and it is powered from this source. From the design software point of view BeMicro acts roughly like an fpga evaluation board plus an Altera USB blaster. Because of that, BeMicro is integrated into the Quartus fpga design environment and the NIOS IDE. For system expansion, a prototyping board is available that fits to the edge connector of the BeMicro USB stick. The housing of BeMico can be opened so two additional components can be soldered onto the pcb.
