The latest TARGET 3001! V18 PCB-POOL edition includes an integrated 3D mechatronic integrated devices (MID) function enabling schematic creation and the ability to place circuitry on already created 3D step file data.
According to the company, this is the first free ECAD software for designing electronic circuits on 3D circuit carriers and is now available to download.
The 3D-MIDs are made of recyclable thermoplastics and are said to be easier disposed of than conventional circuit boards. According to the company, MIDs allow a quicker production of circuits and a faster design renewal.
