Designed for compliance with AEC-Q100, the device is primarily intended to be used in automotive applications. Applications include remote key systems and the provision of a reliable wireless connection to sensors. The device also allows remote connection to diagnostic equipment.
The mixed-signal device contains analogue RF and baseband digital elements and is said to provide a complete solution. Featuring an ARM Cortex-M0 processor and 384kbyte of on-board mask ROM, the part has a further 192kbyte of RAM for Bluetooth application programs and data. It also has 17 GPIO lines and a range of communications options, including SPI and I 2C, as well as a 921.6kbit/s two-channel UART. The GPIO lines offer access to a range of on-chip features, including a wake-up interface, four channel PWM interface, six channel AD converter and the ability to control an optional external power amplifier.
Accepting supply voltages ranging from 1.8 to 3.6V, the part operates in temperatures ranging from -40 to 105˚C, depending upon supply voltage, and is supplied in a 40pin QFN measuring 6 x 6mm.
