Bridge controller specified for mil/aero applications

Automotive and military grade versions of Linear's LT4320 bridge controller have been released.

The device replaces a full wave diode bridge rectifier with a low loss N channel mosfet bridge to reduce power and voltage losses. Power supply size is reduced as the enhanced power efficiency eliminates bulky heat sinks. In addition, Linear says low voltage applications will benefit from the extra margin afforded by saving the two diode drops inherent in diode bridges. Both versions are guaranteed over the -40 to 125°C and -55 to 125°C temperature ranges, respectively. The H-grade is offered in 8pin DFN (3 x 3mm) and PDIP packages and a 12lead MSOP package with enhanced high voltage pin spacing, while the MP-grade is offered in the 12lead MSOP package only.
