The series can provide nominal outputs of 180V to 2,000V, adjustable from 0.5% to 100%, with output power levels of 1.4 to 3W. The metallic shielded case reduces radiated emissions and contributes to very low output ripple and noise. The converters are suitable for use in precision, noise-sensitive applications, including photomultiplier tubes, photodiodes, scanning electron microscopes, X-ray fluorescence spectrometers, mass spectrometers and ultrasonic probes.
The series is available with outputs of 180, 300, 350, 470, 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000V in either a positive or negative polarity. The output can be programmed using an external voltage or resistor over a 0.5 to 100% range and can be inhibited using the remote on/off function. All models are protected against an over-current condition. The input voltage is 11 to 13V for the 1.4W and1.5W models, 10.8 to 16.5V for the 2W and 10.8 to 13.2V for models 2.5W or higher.
Three compact case sizes cover the entire series. The CHVM1R5 (1.4W and 1.5W) measures 44 x 16 x 30mm (WxLxH), the CHVM2 and CHVM2R6 (2 and 2.6W) 110 x 12 x 19.75mm and the CHVM2R5, CHVM2R7 and CHVM3 (2.5, 2.7 and 3W) 80 x 12 x 19.75mm.
The operating temperature range is -10 to +50°C for the 1.5W models and -10 to +60°C, derating linearly to 60% load above +50°C, for the higher power models. The CHVM will start up at -20°C. Safety certification includes IEC/UL/CSA/EN 62368-1 with CE marking to the Low Voltage and RoHS Directives.
