COM Express module suits harsh environments
Kontron has launched a new COM Express basic computer on module (COM) for rugged applications.
Featuring extended temperature operation (-40 to 85°C) with rapid shutdown and ECC functionality, the COMe-bIP6RXT is based on 3rd generation Intel Core processors and an Intel QM77 express chipset.
The unit offers expansion I/O options and is said to deliver increased processing and graphics performance for a range of military, transportation, and oil & gas applications.
The board is available in a Type 6 pin-out, and has an integrated Intel GMA HD 4000 iGFX graphics processor that supports three independent displays.
The COMe-bIP6RXT also provides Trusted Platform Management and 4x USB 3.0, PCIe Gen 3.0, DirectX 11 interface support. It has up to 16GB of ddr3 ram ECC memory, and is compliant with the latest COM Express specification.
