Contact spacing connectors address industrial, telecom applications
Farnell has become the first European distributor to stock Amphenol's TMM range of contact spacing connectors. The new components are designed for wire to wire and board to board interconnections in a range of industrial and telecoms applications.
The devices have a 1.27mm pitch contact spacing and are available in 12 circuit sizes that encompass parts with between 4 and 26 poles. Copper alloy contacts are fully tinned to protect against corrosion and kinked to enhance connector retention whilst soldering takes place. Locking latches are available on female connectors.
The connectors have current and voltage ratings of 1A and 230V respectively, with contact resistance rated at 20milliohms (max). The red thermoplastic bodied UL 94 V0 rated parts have an insulation resistance of 1000Mohm (min), and a withstand voltage of 500VAC. Operating temperature range is between -40 and 105 ºC.
