Cypress Semiconductor has announced the release of five new CapSense design guides.
According to the company, these are complete reference manuals that effectively detail the company's CapSense technology as well as how to implement it into a variety of end products. "The guides give comprehensive information in an easy to find and use format while assisting the designer in eliminating common mistakes related to sensor layout and tackling noisy systems," said Dirk Franklin, director of Cypress' CapSense business unit.
As well as featuring a 'Getting Started' guide, the four product design manuals focus on each CapSense controller range in order to streamline the design process for the CY8C20x34, CY8C20xx6A, CY8C21x34, and CY8CMBR2044 series'. In addition, each includes links to the entire design ecosystem including data sheets, application notes, software tools, development kits and other materials that help designers create more efficient designs faster.
The guides are also optimised to assist in the design for advanced UI features such as proximity and water proofing. An automatic tuning solution is provided to tune the sensor interface in the initial design phase, during system integration and production fine tuning prior to the production ramp. "CapSense devices offer unmatched flexibility and integration, addressing a broad range of designs from complex, feature rich applications to simple button replacement," concluded Franklin.
