According to the company, the RTA4000 is ideal for analysing serial protocols and provides an acquisition memory depth up to 1Gsample. Available with bandwidths of 100, 200, 350 and 500MHz and 1GHz, the RTM3000 series features a proprietary 5Gsample/s 10bit A/D converter and each model comes with a 40Msample per channel (80 Msample interleaved) acquisition memory. A 400 Msample segmented acquisition memory is available as an option.
The RTA4000 range includes the same 10bit A/D converter, but offers a 100Msample per channel acquisition memory and a 1Gsample segmented acquisition memory as standard.
According to the company, until recently, most oscilloscopes have offered 8bit of vertical resolution. The 10bit A/D converter allows a vertical resolution four times better than 8bit scopes, which is said to be essential for ripple and noise measurements.
The RTM3000 series features two- and four-channel models, while all RTA4000 models feature four channels.
Optional upgrades include 16 integrated digital channels with a mixed signal oscilloscope option, protocol decode and triggering options for a variety of industry standard buses, and an integrated waveform generator.
