Mitsubishi Electric is launching new 8.4in VGA and 10.4in VGA colour TFT lcd modules for industrial applications at Embedded World 2012 in Nuremberg, Hall 1, Booth 1-163.
The 8.4in VGA (AA084VJ01) and 10.4in VGA (AA104VJ02) modules feature high brightness and high contrast ratio, wide viewing angle as well as a top level wide operating temperature of -30 to 80°C and -20 to 70°C respectively, making them suitable for use in rugged outdoor environments.
According to Mitsubishi, the TFT lcd modules feature market leading long life led backlight performance and are equipped with a circuit board embedded led driver achieving a more compact system design. The company points out that, at 25°C, led backlights have an operating life time of at least 100,000 hours.
TFT lcd modules using Low Voltage Differential Signalling (LVDS) interface have become widely spread recently because they can be run with very high speed at very low noise figure. Through implementation of Mitsubishi's cross compatible LVDS concept, the company says its design costs at customer side are reduced because they do not have to change the interface depending on the resolution of the display.
The outline dimension and mounting hole position are compatible with Mitsubishi Electric's previous models (8.4in: AA084VG01, 10.4in: AA104VH02), while signal interface connector and pin assignments are compatible with all Mitsubishi Electric's LVDS interface models.
The new modules are RoHS conform.
