Fibre optic terminus conforms to ARINC 801 spec
Positronic has introduced a fibre optic terminus and size 8 adapter for use in its Combo-D connector family.

The Optik-D terminus conforms to the ARINC 801 specification and boasts a low optical insertion loss of 0.06dB and a return loss in excess of 45dB for multi-mode.
The company says it is more cost effective than other ARINC 801 solutions because it integrates a high performing optical terminus with a low cost connector housing, as opposed to high cost connectors.
Furthermore, enhancements within the device's adapter and terminus system are said to enable a lower loss than is usually attainable with alternative solutions.
