Dual channel DDR3 800/1066MHz memory is supported up to a maximum of 8GB in two DIMM slots. Accompanied by the Intel Q45 Express chipset with 800/1066/1333MHz front side bus, Adlink describes the NuPRO-E320 as 'the ideal solution for applications requiring high performance computing and high data transfer speeds'. Applications suggested include industrial control, automation, machine vision, intelligent transportation systems and telecommunications. The NuPRO-E320 features DDR3 memory support, said to provide an increase in data access bandwidth over DDR2 at lower power consumption. With DDR2 already at its performance limit, DDR3 allows continued performance scaling (1600+Mb/s) with less power. The PICMG 1.3 specification is said to provide increased bandwidth capability, and allows flexible system design. The NuPRO-E320's integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 supports PCI Express add on graphics cards and video capture cards for applications such as automated optical inspection and other digital imaging tasks. The NuPRO-E320 PICMG 1.3 SHB is compatible with Adlink's frame grabber cards such as the PCIe-RTV24 and PCIe-CPL64.
