The single board computer (SBC) supports Intel’s 6th generation Skylake 14nm Core i7/i5/3, Pentium and Celeron processors, and is said to deliver up to two and a half times better computing performance than previous generations.
According to the company, the device is suitable for use in graphics applications, such as gaming, surveillance, medical, defence, signage, transportation and industrial automation.
Running under the Q170 Chipset, up to 64GB of 2133MHz DDR4 SRAM can be accommodated. Intel HD Graphics Gen 9 supports a range of interfaces and decode/encode functionality.
The device has three independent displays: HDMI 2.0 up to 4096 x 2160; VGA up to 1920 x 1200; and a further Display Port interface for LVDS and DVI up to 2560 x 1600, are provided.
The HD Audio comes from the Realtek ALC662 5.1 Codec, supporting 16/20/24bit S/PDIF function and a sampling rate of up to 96kHz, offering an output over coax or fibre to external digital decoders.
Four SATA 6Gbit/s ports support RAID 0/1/5/10 mass storage, there are two LAN ports, six USB ports, a full size PCIe Mini slot supporting mSATA and a PCIe x8 expansion slot.
