Lane Electronics has launched the Binder RD24 692/693 series of circular power connectors, designed for a variety of industrial applications.
Four and seven pole screw locking connectors are available, which, according to Lane, provide protection to IP67 when mated and locked. The pins are silver plated brass, while the sockets are bronze. Customers can select from screw, crimp or solder terminations.
The plastic bodies of the field attachable and panel bodies are made from polybutylene terephthalate, while polyurethane moulded versions are supplied on 2m PVC cable. They are available in standard (692 series) or UL (693 series) versions and can handle cable diameters from 6 to 12mm.
The four pole version is rated to 16A (12A for UL version) and the seven pole version to 10A (8A). Maximum voltage for the four pole version is said to be 400V (600V for UL) and 250V for both seven pole versions. The devices are operable up to 100ºC and users can expect a lifetime of more than 500 mating cycles.
