IR has DC/DC converters for satellite power systems

International Rectifier has introduced a new series of low power, radiation tolerant DC/DC converters, designed to meet the high reliability design needs of satellite power systems.
The D28xxD and D50xxxxP D families are optimised for ultra low output noise, guaranteed end of life output voltage drift and excellent output cross regulation.
Each converter output is independently regulated with 5W maximum rated output power or 10W total output power.
Available in two output configurations, the first configuration offers the traditional positive and negative output combination for analogue and linear circuit loads.
The second features two positive outputs where each output may have the same or different voltages with each voltage as low as 1V and as high as 5V.
This version is well suited to DSP, FPGA, DDR memory and other digital loads. Each converter output is independently regulated with 5W maximum rated output power or 10W total output power.
The D Series DC/DC converters incorporate IR's proprietary PWM controller IC, which integrates several performance enhancing circuitries to minimise overall component count and improve reliability.
Linear post regulation is used for both outputs for low noise and high audio rejection.
