The company says that no optocoupler, third winding or signal transformer are required for feedback because the output voltage is sensed from the primary side flyback signal.
The LT8300 operates over a 6 to 100V input voltage range, features a 260mA, 150V power switch and delivers up to 2W of output power. Linear says it is suitable for a variety of telecom, datacom, automotive, industrial and medical applications.
Available in a five lead ThinSOT package, extended and industrial versions of the device operate over a junction temperature range of -40 to 125°C, while a high temperature automotive grade version operates from -40 to 150°C.
