Lightweight back shell from Positronic Industries
Positronic Industries has developed a new generation back shell for D subminiature connectors. The A series device has been designed to meet the needs of today's most challenging requirements for EMI/RFI protection for cable connectors.
The module is made from a lightweight aluminum material with a zinc content of less than 1%. It has six grounding points, which are sized and shaped for use with 0.25in diameter ring terminals. According to Positronic, multiple ring terminals can be stacked under each grounding screw and ground screw holes have been pre tapped through the body of the backshell for ease of installation.
The back shell is offered with jackscrews as well as a disconnect locking system. Various performance levels are available, including options for use in space flight applications.
