Low jitter crystal oscillators target cloud computing applications
A new family of differential crystal oscillators has been unveiled by Silicon Labs.
The Si535 and Si536 leverage the company's DSPLL technology to provide ultra low jitter reference timing for 10, 40 and 100G cloud computing and networking equipment.
Target applications include data centre core/access switches, storage area networking equipment, security routers, enterprise switches/routers, and Carrier Ethernet switches and routers.
The oscillators offer support LVDS and LVPECL output formats at 2.5 and 3.3V and offer both ±20 and 31.5ppm total stability. Jitter performance is rated at 200fs.
