Miniature LDO offers low noise output, small footprint
With a high PSRR of 75dB at 1kHz and a low noise performance of 60µVrms over the 10 to 100kHz range, the AP7340 low dropout regulator from Diodes is said to ensure a high quality supply for analogue circuits in noise sensitive audio, video and rf applications.
Available in a 1 x 1mm DFN1010-4 package, the LDO is suited to high density portable products. According to Diodes, it produces a 150mA output current for a wide input voltage range, starting from as low as 1.7V and extending up to a maximum of 5.25V.
The module comprises a voltage reference, error amplifier, current limit and an enable input for output on/off control. Its integrated resistor network produces fixed output voltages in 0.1V steps between 1.2 and 3.3V.
The AP7340's output voltage accuracy is claimed to be higher than other industry solutions, with an accuracy of ±1.5% over the entire operating temperature range of -40 to 85ºC. In addition, the LDO offers a typical quiescent current of just 35µA, helping to reduce power consumption.
