New high peak current double layer capacitors from Murata
Murata has launched a new series of high peak current doube layer capacitors.
Measuring 2.5 x 0.2mm, the devices feature low resistance (40 to 60mO) and stable temperature characteristics, enabling them to be charged and discharged frequently over the operating range of -30 to 70°C.
Initially, the DMF EDLC series will offer 330 and 470mF capacitance values to support various energy requirement demands. Package thickness ranges from 2.5 x 0.2mm to 3.2 x 0.2mm. All products in the series provide an instantaneous maximum working voltage of 5.5V.
Murata claims the modules offer the highest power density levels available on the market, making them suitable for use as an auxiliary power source in led flash units, digital cameras and mobile phones.
