While documentation is a critical element of every post-design process, Altium says engineers typically find themselves struggling with limited third party documentation tools that lack a connection to their original design data. With Draftsman, PCB designers can create and update documentation without leaving their design workspace.
Draftsman enables PCB designers to: create and update assembly documentation; communicate with manufacturing using mark up and drawing object tools; and provide details on board layouts, with perspectives, layout views and call outs.
Alongside Draftsman, Altium Designer 16.1 also includes new productivity focused features, including : precise 3D measurements; USB 3.0 support; and performance enhancements.
