Photocouplers offer integrated igbt protection function
Renesas Electronics has announced two new photocouplers, the PS9332L and PS9332L2, targeted at applications such as industrial machinery and solar power systems.
The devices feature an integrated insulated gate bipolar transistor and an integrated active Miller clamp circuit to prevent igbt malfunction.
They are designed to drive the gate of an igbt device while at the same time providing an integrated protection function to prevent destruction due to malfunction of the igbt.
The devices are available in a compact 8-pin SDIP package and offer guaranteed high temperature operation up to 125dc.
