Power supply units target harsh environments
Powerstax has launched the MC1U series of flexible, ruggedised power supply units.
Offered in 400W (MC1U-6A), 700W (MC1U-6B) and 1000W (MC1U-6C) versions, the plug and play devices support a 47 to 440Hz input frequency range and can be easily adapted to meet different specifications.
In addition, the output voltage can be adjusted as required using an integrated multi-turn potentiometer.
Measuring 26 x 12.7 x 4cm, Powerstax says the units exhibit power conversion efficiencies of up to 91%. The available input voltage range is 85 to 264VAC at 47 to 63Hz and 90 to 120VAC at 390 to 440Hz.
Target applications include military commercial-off-the-shelf (MIL-COTS) and other high reliability systems, such as marine/military communication, satellite guidance, avionics and radar.
