The company says inverter control is used to drive motors in electric and hybrid vehicles efficiently, but as the control and drive functions operate at different voltages, they must be isolated from each other. It claims the TB9150FNG can address this issue, while providing the necessary protection.
The part integrates a photocoupler that provides isolation to 2500V AC rms between primary and secondary sides, as well as a precise IGBT temperature detection function, a flyback transformer controller and a short circuit detection function.
Supplied in an SSOP48 package measuring 10.4 x 12.5 x 2mm, the TB9150FNG operates in temperatures ranging from -40 to 125°C.
