RF switch targets harsh environment automotive applications
Certified to AEC-Q100 standards, the new SPDT rf switch from Peregrine Semiconductor is qualified for operation between -40 and 105°C.
The device is available in a miniature 6 lead SC-70 package and is targeted at automotive applications such as remote keyless entry, emergency communication systems, tyre pressure monitoring systems and automatic toll systems.
Peregrine says its ESD protection of 2kV HBM on all pins enables high product reliability, resulting in a longer product life.
The switch has a low insertion loss of 0.35dB at 1GHz and 0.5dB at 2GHz, as well as a high isolation of 30dB at 1000MHz. Using a nominal +3V power supply voltage, a typical input 1dB compression point of 33.5dBm can be achieved.
