Step down switching regulator provides 100% duty cycle operation
Linear Technology has introduced a triple output, 36V step down switching regulator with 100% duty cycle operation.
The LT3514 delivers 2A of continuous output current from one channel and 1A each from the other two channels at voltages down to 0.8V.
Linear says the device's 3.2 to 36V (40VMAX) input voltage range makes it suitable for automotive and industrial applications that require multiple outputs.
Its design includes an on board boost regulator, enabling each channel to operate at 100% duty cycle.
In addition, the device's switching frequency is user programmable from 250kHz to 2.2MHz and is synchronisable throughout the range.
The LT3514 is available now in thermally enhanced 4 x 5mm QFN-28 and TSSOP-24 packages.
