These connectors take up 40 percent less space than Mini 7/8 connectors traditionally used for high power connections, allowing for more freedom and flexibility when designing machines and systems, according to TE.
The M12 L-code power connectors, an extension of the current M12 IEC standard, have also been selected by PROFINET user organisation PROFIBUS & PROFINET International as the standard for 24-volt power supply systems used in PROFINET devices.
These connectors are able to handle currents as high as 16A per pin – the highest in TE’s M12 family – providing reliable and efficient power distribution. They are IP67 rated, which means they are protected from dust and resist water immersion at depths of up to one meter for 30 minutes.
