Transducers offer up to 2000Amps with 0.2% accuracy
Premo is increasing its current sensors product portfolio with the introduction of 35 new ranges of hall effect current transducers.
The closed loop hall effect current transducer, the HCT-2000LF, is the largest from the range, with primary currents ranging from 10 to 2000 amps. The series is said to have an accuracy of 0.2% and linearity of 0.1%, with a range starting from 4mA.
According to Premo, the HCT-2000LF has a wide input supply simetrical voltage to allow power supplies from 15 to 24V, simplifying the need of dc voltage regulators and matching the most common dc supply buss standards in power control electronics.
A hall effect sensor has also been implemented with a 0 current offset. According to the company, this can be trimmed and compensated using software from the customer application and provides a quick pin to pin compatible replacement of most known types that have long lead times.
