The socket, which Cliff says offers more flexibility and smaller form factors than previous generations of USB connectors, can support data rates of up to 10Gbit/s and supply up to 100W.
Cliff’s feed through connectors are packaged in the 24mm diameter XLR connector format and available in black plastic or with a die cast aluminium fascia finished in nickel or black.
The devices can be mounted into any panel designed to accept XLR connectors, including instrumentation, control and rack panels and wallplates, and are available with standard or countersunk mounting holes. Bezels are available in seven colours.
Feedthrough connection allows standard cabling to be used to connect at both front and rear, eliminating the need to solder or terminate the connections and simplifying assembly.
