Until now, designers have used discrete components to design EMI filters that are compatible with the BroadR-Reach specification. Because there may be a large dispersion between components, these discrete networks’ performance must be fine- tuned incurring significant time and cost.
The EMIF02-01OABRY is claimed to solve this issue by providing an application-validated integrated solution, making the end applications smaller and faster to design. Operating within the automotive temperature range of -40 to 125°C, the EMI filter attenuation profile is said to be compliant with BroadR-Reach requirements, with a return loss of -20dB at 60MHz and component matching of 1% between line 1 and 2.
The device is available in a 3x3mm² wettable-flank QFN package, facilitating optical inspection of the solder joints.
