INTERCONNECTION: High-performance C6A RJ45 field plug

METZ CONNECT offers the C6A RJ45 field plug in a straight 180° and a variable 360° option. Due to its compact design, the two field plug variants are suitable for multiport applications and can therefore be used in extremely confined spaces. To provide reliable data transmission both versions of the C6A RJ45 field plug pro are shielded against external EMC interference. This is achieved by use of a die-cast zinc housing. The new C6A RJ45 field plug pro offers the transmission technology features of Cat.6A in accordance with ISO/IEC 11801 Ed.2.2:2011-06 (Class EA) and is therefore suited for transmission up to 10Gbit/s. Field plug pro will accommodate stranded cables AWG 27/7 to 22/7 and solid core cables AWG 26/1 to AWG 22/1 and is suitable for Power over Ethernet applications, PoE, PoE plus and UPoE. The field plug pro 180° is made up of a two part clip together solution, the variable 360° a four part clip together solution featuring an additional back shell for cable routing. Both plug variants are reusable and can be disassembled and re-terminated. This makes field plug pro ideal in situations where cable damage or connection errors have occurred. The Field Plug Pro 360° features an additional back shell that allows users to terminate cables in up to 32 different positions through its 360° radius and therefore makes it an ideal solution for use with products and devices where minimal space exists for interconnection, for example wall-mounted devices such as routers and in-house IP cameras. Ethernet interfaces are also required to connect industrial automation and manufacturing environments to the office and field plug pro gives users the possibility to make direct 'in the field' connections for specific networks in this area. The field plug pro is the latest addition to the METZ CONNECT range of field installable connectors. The E-DAT Industry IP20 RJ45 field plug is ideal for Cat.6 requirements. The new RJ45 field plug pro is suitable for C6A solutions and as such METZ CONNECT now offers additional product choices according to their specific solution requirements.
