Experience Accelerated Graphic Performance with ADLINK CM2-GF
1 min read
The CM2-GF provides both, ISA and PCI expansion buses, through PC/104 and PCI-104 connectors. The AMD G-Series accelerated processing unit (APU) supports single or dual independent high resolution displays and exceptional multi-media capability with hardware decode support for H.264, VC-1, MPEG2, WMV, DivX and Adobe Flash. DirectX® 11 support guarantees awesome graphics performance, stunning 3D visual effects and dynamic interactivity.
Unprecedented graphics performance on PC/104-Plus single board computer
ADLINK uses the AMD Fusion G-Series processor in the PC/104-Plus formatted CM2-GF
The single board computer is intended for applications in areas like medical, digital signage, transport, and traffic control. All these require rather high performance and graphics capabilities. The used processor nicely fulfills these requirements.
Dubbed "accelerated processing unit (APU)" by AMD, it integrates a powerful graphics controller and a processing unit that is available with one or two X86 cores. The graphics controller handles Direct-X11 and can also be used for vector processing. It supports single or dual independent high-resolution displays and offers exceptional multi-media capability with hardware decode support for H.264, VC-1, MPEG2, WMV, DivX and Adobe Flash.
ADLINK combines this powerful APU with the A55E controller hub. This highly integrated peripheral features Gigabit LAN, PCI bus, USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 ports, as well as SATA ports with RAID support.
The CM2-GF integrates APU and controller hub on a standard PC/104-Plus board, measuring only 90mm x 96mm. Two choices for the APU are available: The T40R single core processor at 1.0 GHz, and the T56N dual core processor at 1.65 GHz. The board provides interfaces like LVDS and VGA, USB, SATA, Gigabit LAN, RS232/RS485 and much more.
The CM2-GF is available in all temperature grades, commercial, (0°… 60°C) industrial, (-25°… 60°C) and extended (-40°… 85°C, only T40R). Its power consumption varies with the processor type from 10 to 18 watts.
The board runs Windows 7, Windows Compact 7, Windows XPe, Windows XP, and Linux operating systems. The Smart Embedded Management Agent (SEMA) implements condition management functionality, including life power monitoring.
