15.6” is fast becoming a popular size for industrial TFT displays. Here at RDS we can offer a wide range of 15.6” displays from Tianma with full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, brightness from 400cd/m2 up to 1500cd/m2 and LVDS or eDP interfaces.
Super daylight viewing is possible with a high brightness of 1500cd/m2 display together with low power consumption, wide viewing angles and an operating temperature of -40 to +85oC.
Driving multiple Displays with just one board
Interfacing to displays can often present certain challenges which is where our expertise counts. We have driven multiple eDP displays from a single motherboard/mainboard/SBC without the need for a converter board thus saving component cost and reducing points of potential failure. Indeed, with all x86 CPU’s that Intel now produce having a Display Port (DP) as their native graphics channel, DVI, LVDS, HDMI, VGA are becoming a legacy interface which will require some kind of conversion to enable reliable interface from the CPU.
In-House Design and Manufacture
Here at RDS we are able to offer in-house design and manufacture. We can build bespoke displays and custom solutions using the latest solidworks modelling and design tools. All production takes place in an ISO 9001 approved environment ensuring full control and traceability from design right through to final product. To complement this, we also have accreditation to ISO 13485 for medical sub-assembly design and manufacture which has proved to be critical with the COVID 19 pandemic. As a UK supplier we were able to build and supply essential display sub-assemblies to the ventilator challenge consortium.
