PowerPax launches 2W DC/DC Converter range with excellent efficiency from Mornsun
Combination of efficiency and isolation voltage extends range of application
Leading UK Power Conversion distributor PowerPax is pleased to launch a range of 2W Isolated, Unregulated DC/DC converters with excellent efficiency across the load range. Manufactured by Mornsun the range features three different series with input to output isolation ranging from 1.5KV DC to 6KV DC enabling them to cater for a wide application range.
The range features the A_S-2WR2/B_SWR2 series with input to output isolation of 1.5KV DC, E_S-2WR2/F_S-2WR2 series with input to output isolation of 3KV DC and the G_S-2WR2/H_S-2WR2 series with input to output isolation of 6KV DC (4200V AC). These high power density converters have a minimum efficiency of 67% and a maximum efficiency of 86%.
All series feature both single and dual output models with single outputs of 3.3 to 24V and dual outputs of ±3.3 to ±24V available in the A_S-2WR2/B_SWR2 and E_S-2WR2/F_S-2WR2 series. The G_S-2WR2/H_S-2WR2 series features single outputs of 5 to 15V and dual outputs of ±5 to ±15V. The A_S-2WR2/B_SWR2 and E_S-2WR2/F_S-2WR2 series feature continuous, self-recovering, short circuit protection. Inputs for these converters range from 5V to 24V DC with a tolerance of ±10%.
These converters have been designed for a wide application range and feature an operating temperature of -40 to 105°C for the A_S-2WR2/B_SWR2 and E_S-2WR2/F_S-2WR2 series and -40 to 85°C for the G_S-2WR2/H_S-2WR2 series.
These DC/DC Converters are approved to CE and UL safety requirements with the 6KV DC (reinforce insulated) isolated products (G_S-2WR2/H_S-2WR2) approved to EN60601-1 (1xMOPP/2xMOOP, patient leakage 2µA max) making them suitable for medical applications.
These products are designed for high reliability and feature an MTBF of 3500K Hr’s to MIL-HDBK217F @ 25°C. They are housed in an industry standard miniature SIP Package which is UL94-V0 rated and they have a 3 year warranty.
These DC/DC converters are suited to many application including, but not limited to, industrial control systems, instrumentation, digital systems, electricity monitoring & control, medical equipment and battery powered systems. They offer a cost effective solution with lead times of typically 4 weeks for production volumes, samples are generally available from stock.
